Jari Majewski Price

Feel the Beat

In 2016, Feel the Beat founders Jari and Julia met while teaching in a multiple needs classroom. Their students' motivation grew when accessible music and dance activities were incorporated into lessons. Seeking more opportunities for their students, they discovered there was a lack of accessible programs and an evident need for more ~ so they decided to create their own!

As founder of Feel the Beat, a Colorado 501c3 nonprofit and dance studio that offers accessible dance classes and barrier-breaking vibrotactile dance floor technology solutions, Jari Majewski Price has made her vision for creating accessible environments a reality. Her work with co-creators, engineers, and partners enabled the launch of a fully accessible dance studio coupled with customized curriculum and teaching tools for Neurodiverse individuals. Jari also oversaw the development of a groundbreaking bone-conductive flooring solution that converts sound into vibrational energy – engaging an individual’s sense of touch – allowing them to feel the beat.

Today, Jari’s work is centered around Feel the Beat’s mission of dance accessibility for all and raising awareness about marginalized groups and the need for positive change in the increasingly inclusive world in which we live. Through Feel the Beat’s state-of-the-art dance floor and customized curriculum, Jari works with individuals and organizations including schools, gyms, and concert venues around the world seeking equal participation in the world of music, dance, and rhythmic exploration. The Feel the Beat floor technology is installed at the organization’s home dance studio located inside the Charles Whitlock Recreation Center in Lakewood, CO, at Brewability Lab in Englewood, CO, and at Colorado Movement Lab in Westminster, CO. Additional floor installation projects are currently underway in Colorado and beyond.

In addition to her work at Feel the Beat, Jari supports the community through various outreach and cause events including nonprofits such as the Shine Music Festival, Dork Dancing, The Phamaly Theatre Company, Autism Society of Colorado, Brewability Lab and more.

Since founding Feel the Beat in 2016, Jari has received numerous recognitions for leadership and her impact on the community. In 2020, Jari was honored to receive the Marquis Who's Who Award. In 2021, Feel the Beat was recognized as the Best Dance Studio in Denver, and in 2022, Feel the Beat was named a Family Favorite by Colorado Parent Magazine. In 2023, Jari was named a recipient of the prestigious Top 40 Under 40 Award by the Denver Business Journal.
